NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Timothy Lee "Tim" McNeill, 49, of Warren Court, who entered into rest April 17, 2010, will be conducted Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock from the First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Dr. Gary C. Redding and Dr. John Bryan officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later time. Tim was a native of Ware Shoals, SC, having made North Augusta his home for the past 27 years. He was currently employed as an Account Executive with Phoenix Printing and was previously the Vice President of Miller Printing for over 20 years. In 1976 Tim earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was a life-long volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, most recently serving as Assistant Scout Master for Troop 7 in North Augusta. He volunteered his time each year for Pat Carpenter's Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless where he was affectionately known as "the man with the greens." Tim was an avid runner and was a member of the Health Central Noon Platoon Running Group. He founded the Keenan O'Mailia Candle of HOPE Foundation and was a volunteer for the Aiken County Sheriff's Posse. Tim was active in the North Augusta Relay For Life where he was a member of the "Fishin for a Cure" Team. He was preceded in death by his father, James Walter McNeill, Sr., and brother James Walter McNeill, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Cindy Miller McNeill; two sons, Austin Walker McNeill and Dylan Miller McNeill, both of North Augusta; his mother, Eva Lindley McNeill Johnson (Herbert), Ware Shoals, SC; a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Rusty Streetman, Isle of Palms, SC; a brother-in-law, Bobby Miller, North Augusta; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Curt Steinhart, Edmond, OK; parents-in-law, Bob and Jeanette Miller, North Augusta; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family at the residence. At Tim's request and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of North Augusta Benevolence Fund, 602 Georgia Ave, North Augusta, SC, 29841; Boys Scouts of America, Georgia-Carolina Council, 1450 Green Street, Suite 150 Augusta, GA 30901; or to the charity of one's choice.
