LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Beth Clark Devine, age 69 of Golf Drive, entered into rest March 30, 2010 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday April 1, 2010 in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Stapleton First Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Jerry Clark, Joel Clark, Jay Simons, Wendell Davis, Robert Clements and Thomas Dye. A native of Jefferson County Beth was a daughter of the late A.V. and Ruth Logue Clark She spent her career as a lifelong educator having spent 20 years in the civil service arena at Fort McClellan, Anniston, AL and the Charleston Naval Base, Charleston, SC. She retired from teaching from the Jefferson County School system and spent her remaining 15 years as a resident of Louisville where she was very active with the American Cancer Society and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Willis Logue Clark, and a nephew Christopher Logue Clark and is survived by two sons, Mathew Patrick (Brandi) Devine, of Newnan, GA, Timothy Clark Devine, of Augusta, GA, a sister, June (Ralph) Simons, Augusta, GA, a sister-in-law, Sylvia (Robert) Clements, of Louisville, GA, and a grandson, Mathew Parrish Devine, Newnan, GA, three nephews and a niece.
