AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Gertrude A. Wash, of Johns Road, entered into rest Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 22, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy A. Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Southview Cemetery. She was a native of Columbia County, Ga. Survivors are two daughters, Patricia Beard, Martinez, Ga; Beverly W. Solomon, Atlanta, Ga.; Three sons, Wallace Wash, Jr., Charles Wash, Samuel Wash, Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Maude Jenkins, Augusta, Ga., Ella Sue Burton, Los Angeles, California; two grandchildren, Marcus Beard, Nashville, TN; Allison Beard, Nashville, TN; one great-grandson, Braylen Smith, Nashville, TN; sister-in-law, Mary Gardenhire, Los Angeles, California; brother-in-law, David Anthony, Los Angeles, California; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
