PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Mrs. Gertrude Lloyd McClendon, 93, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 12, 2010 in the Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pa. Mrs. McClendon was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Hattie Simpkins) Jennings of Edgefield County, S.C. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday morning, March 23, 2010 at 11 a.m., from the Bland Baptist Church Cemetery, Johnston, S.C., with the Reverend Jimmy L. Cue officiating. Mrs. McClendon leaves to cherish her memories: five (5) sons, Dea. Floyd (Joann) Lloyd and Rev. Edward Lloyd, both of Aiken, S.C.; Namon McClendon, Jr., Gregory (Glenda) McClendon and George Frederick (Olivia)McClendon, all of Philadelphia, Pa.; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; 6 sisters-in-law and 3 brother-in-laws; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 1 p.m., until 7 p.m., or at the residence of her son, Dea.
