AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at University Hospital. Mrs. Parkman of Carrie Street. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 1404 Brown Street with Reverend Jonovan Harris, pastor, presiding and Reverend Andy Thornton, eulogist. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Parkman was a native of Aiken County, South Carolina, but had lived in Augusta for most of her life. She attended the public schools in Richmond County. Mrs. Parkman was a homemaker and a loving and kind caregiver. She was a member of Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Leroy Parkman. Survivors are two sons, Richard Parkman and Earnest Parkman (Mary), both of Augusta, GA; two daughters, Florine Evans, Augusta, GA and Virginia Parkman, North Augusta, SC; thirteen grandchildren, Michael Evans, Silas M. Evans, Rosetta Wright (Vester), Carla Evans, Vickie Parkman, Erica Bennett, Tanya Parkman, Gary Parkman, Morales Parkman, Rodriquez Parkman and Marajai Parkman; two step grandchildren, Sabrina Jones and James C. Jones; twelve great grandchildren; three step great grands, loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call the Caddenwoods Drive residence or W. H.
