GIRARD, Ga. - Sunrise: December 7, 1919 in Girard, Ga. to the late Jim and Jannie Clark. Sunset: March 14, 2010. James was a retired cement finisher and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Deacon Society. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Early; and grandson, Cardell Clark. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 59 years, Albertha; daughters, Imogene Carter (Gene), Barbara Clark-Williams (Ken), Lisa Clark (Eddie), all of St. Petersburg, Fla., Janie M. Bates (Willie James) of Ga.; sons, James Clark, Jr. (Sherry), Augusta, Ga., Anthony Clark (Trudy) Harvey, La., Kenneth Clark (Deborah), St. Petersburg, Fla., Larry Clark, N.Y., Dana Clark, Taih Clark, St. Petersburg, Fla., Franklin Clark, Savannah, Ga., Carl Dixon (Joann), Augusta, Ga.; brother, Marvin Clark (General), Rochester, N.Y.; sisters, Janie L. Smith, Augusta, Ga., Josie L. Parrish (Ulysees) Rochester, N.Y., Essie M. Kelly; 36 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Phinazee & Sons Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Ga. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Girard, Ga., with burial in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
