AUGUSTA, Ga. - Deacon Charlie L. Patrick, 85, of 5009 Mike Padgett Highway, entered into rest on Friday, March 12, 2010, at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 12:00 noon, at Palmer Grove Baptist Church with Dr. J.J. Smith officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Deacon Charlie Patrick was born in Waynesboro, Ga., to the late Daren and Irene Patrick. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Mrs. Queen V. Patrick; three daughters, Annie B. (Eddie) Scott, Thelma Butler and Carla (Randy) Harris; two sons, Charlie (Gaynell) Patrick and King (Delphine) Patrick; eleven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; one son-in-law, William Merriweather; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Vivian Merriweather.
