HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Mrs. Jennie Prescott, 85, of Woodcock Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 12:00 noon from Mealing Grove Baptist Church, 212 Murrah Road, North Augusta, SC with Pastor Joseph Harris officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Prescott was born in North Augusta, South Carolina and later relocated to the Newark, NJ area. She was a retired cosmetologist and presser. She was preceded in death by one son, John C. Prescott, Sr. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her daughter, Susie Williams, granddaughter, Janean Williams and great grandson, Jordan Walker. She is also survived by: a son, James Prescott (Janice Hudley), Newark, NJ; daughter-in- law, Beverly Prescott, Mt. Holy NJ; grandchildren, John C. Prescott, Jr. (Diane), Monroe, GA, Melissa Prescott-Crawford (William), Fayetteville, GA, Cynthia Fitzgerald and Jeanette Chapman, both of Baltimore, MD; ten great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
