George Key (THOMSON, Ga.)

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. George Key, 66, beloved husband of Mrs. Frances Wilson Key, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, in Trinity Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 2010 in the Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Ferrell and Rev. Tony Key officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery. Mr. Key was a native of Glascock County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was a retired painter, and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, David E. Key, and Lucile Key, a brother, Willie Key. Survivors include his wife, Frances Wilson Key, Thomson; his two daughters, Kimberly Webb, Cindy Smith, both of Thomson; his son, David Broom Key, Thomson; his grandchildren, Lee Smith, Crystal Sides, Shelly Brown, Amanda Key, Allen Jones, his two sisters, Frances Hobbs, Gwen Key, both of Warrenton; his two brothers, James "JB" Key, Dearing; and Grady Key, Warrenton. Pallbearers will be Chris Sins, Joey Key, James J. Key, Shane Hobbs, Scott Key, and Edward Gay. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Sides, Russell Brown, and Lee Smith. Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday night at the funeral home.
