GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Mr. Frank D. Beard, 85, of Graniteville, SC, son of the late Frank and Lila Davis Beard, entered into rest Thursday, March 11, 2010. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, Frank retired form the Graniteville Company. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Graniteville, SC. Frank was a member of the Graniteville Leisure Club and prior to his health declining, he enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels and ACTS. Family members include nieces and nephews, Mickey Fox Golden, Cathy Fox Twilley, Timothy Fox (Natalie), Jill Golden, Cristie Golden Shuford (Steve), Aiden Fox, Benjamin Twilley, Stewart Twilley, Summer Shuford, Stephanie Shuford and Shannon Shuford. At his request, Frank will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 4 o'clock at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Graniteville, SC, with The Reverend Douglas Puckett officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family has asked flowers be omitted and memorials be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Graniteville, SC.
