Blenda C. Hadden (GIBSON, Ga.)

GIBSON, Ga. - Blenda Elaine Christensen Hadden, 88, loving wife of 64 years to Ralph L. Hadden, Sr., entered into rest Thursday, March 11, 2010, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at James Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 2:00PM with the Dr. Gary Hadden and Rev. Jarrod Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Gibson Baptist Church Cemetery. Blenda was the daughter of the late Elmer and Jenny Christensen of Koosharem, Utah. After meeting and marrying her soul mate, she moved to Gibson, Georgia where she was co-owner and manager of Hadden's Clothing Store for 45 years. She was a member of the Bastonville Home Demonstration Club and was an active member of Gibson Baptist Church. Blenda loved to cook and take care of her family, especially her "grandboys" and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Blenda was preceded in death by her son, Mickey Hadden. Survivors include her only son, Ralph L. (Dianne) Hadden, Jr.; four grandchildren, Chad Hadden, Doug (Kelly) Hadden, Jennifer Roberts and Chip Clark; six great-grandchildren, Grant, Macy, Halle Anna, Huston, Blake and Cam; many nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be "Hadden" men- Ronnie, Ben, Larry, Don, Keith and Grant. The family will receive friends at the residence and from 6:00- 8:00PM this evening, Friday, March 12, 2010, at James Funeral Home. Honorary memorials may be made to Gibson Baptist Church, 565 W.
