NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Curtis Pearson, 74, passed away in his sleep on Monday, March 8, 2010 at his residence. A native of Louisiana, Mr. Pearson was a long time resident of North Augusta. He was employed by International Paper in Augusta, GA and prior to that worked for Austin Industries in Augusta. A victim of Lou Gehrig's Disease, Mr. Pearson is survived by four sons: Curtis Samual Pearson, Donnie Poucher, Dale Poucher, and David Pearson; two daughters, Connie Poucher LaRocca and Darlene Poucher Prater; a twin sister, Murtis Pearson Spiers; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Young Pearson; two sisters, Brenes Pearson Norwood and Mildred Pearson Lofton, and one brother Sonny Pearson, all of Louisiana. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 8 to 10pm at Rowland Funeral Home. His funeral and interment services will be held at Life Church in Galvez, LA the following week.
