WADLEY, GEORGIA - Mr. Roosevelt Young entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 5, 2010 in Augusta, Georgia. His funeral will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wadley Church of God in Christ in Wadley, Georgia with Elder William Renfroe, Jr. Officiating. Burial will be in the Purvis Grove Cemetery, Bartow, Georgia. Pallbearers are Edward Kelluem, Anthony Johnson, Melvin Kelluem, Levi Frazier, Isaiah Young and Ollie McIntosh, Jr. Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Linda Young of Fort Drum, New York; a daughter, Kimberly Fils of Hinesville, Georgia; two step daughters, Mesha Tyree of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jammie Parker of Fort Drum, New York; two sisters (brothers-in-law), Sarah (Charles) Ivory of Moreland Hills, Ohio and Frances (Charles) Johnson, Wadley, Georgia; four brothers (sisters-in-law), John (Betty) Young, Wilmington, Delaware, Mathis (Dorothy) Young of Wadley, Georgia, James (Gloria) Young, Jr. of Tampa, Florida and William (Dessa) Young of Jacksonville, Florida; one grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
