CLARKS HILL, S.C. - Mrs. Emma Broadwater Williams, wife of the late Eddie Williams, Sr., of Williams Thurmond Sr. Drive, entered into rest Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2010, 2 p.m., at Laura Grove Baptist Church, Clarks Hill, S.C., with Rev. Russell Brisco officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. She was a native of McCormick Co, S.C.; a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mother's Board and served as a Sector. She was retired from McCormick County Corrections Institution after 12 years of service. Survivors are one daughter, Florence (Anthony) Harris-Evans, McCormick, S.C.; one son, Eddie Williams, Jr., Clarks Hill, S.C.; two brothers, Tommie Broadwater, Clarks Hill, S.C. and Claude Broadwater, Hempstead, N.Y.; two sisters, Georgia (George) Harmon, Clarks Hill, S.C. and Annie (Henry) Griffin, Hephzibah, Ga.; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
