SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. William Brooks Todd Jr., age 87, of Sandersville, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 2:00pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Harwell, Rev. Jimmy Harris and Rev. Jim King will officiate. Pallbearers will be John Wood, Allen Underwood, Charles Anderson, David Anderson, Allen Hawkins and Jimmy Hawkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Harper, Tucker Hinesley, Joe Smallwood, Jim McMichael, Ray Toulison, Stevie Wood, Oscar Stapp, Ken Burnette and Willis Johnson. Mr. Todd was born in Glascock the son of the late William Brooks Todd Sr. and the late Bessie Mae Poole Todd. Mr. Todd was a former long time resident of Warrenton where he was the owner and operator of Todd's Car Care for 28 years. He was member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Glascock County where he served as a deacon and church treasurer. After moving to Sandersville, Mr. Todd was the co-owner of the Fashion Gallery along with his wife Lavo. Mr. Todd is survived by; his wife Lavo H. Todd of Sandersville, his daughter, Joyce T. Weigle (Philip) of Augusta, his granddaughter, Patrice W. Johnson (Aaron) of Macon and great grandchildren Brooks A. Johnson and Lucas G. Johnson. The family will be at the Todd residence 122 Windy Hill Way in Sandersville and will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
