DEARING, Ga. - Dorothy "Dot" S. Whitaker, 80, wife to the late Macon E. Whitaker and daughter of the late Martin Andrew and Jessie Phillips Stapleton, entered into rest Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at Fort Creek Baptist Church today, Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 2:00PM with the Reverends Phil Bray and Todd Upchurch officiating. Mrs. Whitaker will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary memorials may be made to Fort Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Brenda Reeves, 840 Kamel Dr, Augusta Ga. 30909.
