THE WOODLANDS, TX. - Quentin Michael Dickens, 62, passed away on February 20, 2010 after a short and courageous three-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Charleston, WV, he was an army brat as a child and lived all over the world. He served 6 years in the US Army during Vietnam. He began his career in manufacturing-electronics and was proud to be a member of the team that produced the first liquid crystal display. He spent about a decade in upstate New York partnered with his good friend, Tom Ehrich, in a home building and landscape business. He moved into Telecommunications and was again, a successful business owner. Michael was an intelligent, confident, happy and optimistic father always seeing the glass half-full. "It's been a wonderful ride," was how he summed up his life. Michael leaves a wife, Heather, daughter, L , and son, Thomas. He also leaves a sister, Margaret Pickett and husband Albert, a brother, Jimmy Dickens and wife Karin, a sister, Linda Moore, in-laws, Joan and Sven Thomsen, Lori Janes, Tom Thomsen and many other loving family members and friends to cherish his memory. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Michael's honor to MD Anderson Cancer Center or your favorite charity.
