Nona Louise Pardue Calhoun (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Nona Louise Pardue Calhoun entered into rest Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at her residence. She was the widow of the late Mr. John Ray Calhoun. Family members are three sons, Troy Poteat, Augusta, Ga., Tim (Jane) Calhoun, Hephzibah, Ga., Preston (Nancy) Calhoun, Stapleton, Ga.; two daughters, Penny (Tony) Barlow, Burke County, Ga., Trudie (Ronnie) Brantley, Adriane, Ga.; one brother, Edward Smith, Prosperity, S.C.; two sisters, Lunnette Willmeth, Thomson, Ga., Wanda Lee McGee, Piedmont, S.C.; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Calhoun was born in Edgefield, S.C., the daughter of Rufus and Geneva Pardue. She was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Christian Tabernacle. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie Scott officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Aaron Elder, Joey McFadden, Jimmy Munro, Barry Pica, Bill Pica, Chuck Walden, Virgil Collett, Joshua Scott, and Scotty Calhoun. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6-8 p.m., at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez.
