MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mrs. Mattie Lockhart Williams, of Avondale Dr., entered into rest Sunday, February 21, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Martinez, Ga., with Rev. Dennis Joe Quinn officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. She was a native of Augusta, Ga. and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Survivors are a devoted granddaughter, raised as a daughter, Wanda Williams; five daughters, Myrtis (William H.) Burgess, Margaret Williams, Ethel M. Williams, Edith Willingham, and Harriet Miller; five sons, Albert (Gwendolyn) Williams, Eddie (Earnestine) Williams, Charles (Renee) Williams, Robert (Ethel) Williams, Walter (Ida) Williams; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; a host of cousins and friends.
