EUSTIS, Fla. - Helen Elizabeth Evans, 80, beloved wife of William "Bill" Houston Evans, of Eustis, Florida died February 8, 2010 at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, Florida. Helen and Bill lived in Augusta during their early marriage of over fifty years, but most of their lives were in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and Bellevue, Idaho. Additional survivors include her daughter, Tara Walker Evans Shimberg of Washington, DC, and a son, W. Houston Evans, II of Eustis, three grandchildren, Ethan Briggs Shimberg, Logan Elias Shimberg, and Hunter Leigh Evans. She is also survived by a brother Floyd "Sonny" E. Beavers, Jr., South Berwick, Maine and a sister, Diana P. Warner, Rincon, GA. Inurnment will take place on the Evans family plot in Westover Memorial Park at a future date and time to be announced.
