TRENTON, S.C. - Mr. Sylvester Meriwether, 60, of Courtney Road, entered into rest Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Meriwether, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Richardson Meriwether; his children, LaSonja Richardson, Octavia Richardson, Alexander Richardson, Joseph Richardson of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Hexter Meriwether, Trenton, S.C.; his mother, Rosalee Boyd Meriwether, Trenton, S.C.; three sisters, Dianna Negron, Doris Meriwether, Trenton, S.C., and Connie Meriwether, Brooklyn, N.Y.; five brothers, William Meriwether (Janet), Marshall Meriwether, Jr. (Tauliba), Alex Meriwether (Lisa), Lance Meriwether (Kim), Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jeffery Meriwether, Queens, N.Y.; five grandchildren; sister in law, Lizzie Meriwether; aunts, Katie Thurmond and Elizabeth Meriwether; uncle, Henry Boyd; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends may call at the residence or after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Poplar Spring Baptist Church with the Rev.
