EVANS, Ga. - Patricia Jernigan Norton, 67, of Evans, GA, widow of Jerry M. Norton passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA She was born in North Charleston, SC on July 27, 1942 to the late Marvin A. Jernigan and Ida Langford Jernigan. She was a retired payroll clerk for the Civil Service at The Naval Shipyard in Charleston, SC. She attended Riverview United Methodist Church in Evans, GA and she enjoyed shopping. She is survived by her son, James D'Mitri Higginbotham of Allendale, SC; one daughter, Deborah H. (Wayne) Moore of Evans, GA; one sister, Joyce (Kevin) Dubis of Summerville, SC; one grandson, Wayne S. Moore, III; one granddaughter, Kristen E. Crees and two great granddaughters, Keildra and Lilly Crees. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Grays, SC with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the hour of service at the church.
