Leona Joyce Lloyd Kight (KEYSVILLE, Ga.)


KEYSVILLE, Ga. - Leona Joyce Lloyd Kight, 74, loving wife of the late Julian H. Kight, entered into rest Thursday, February 18, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be held today, Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 4:00PM at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Henry officiating. Interment will follow in Keysville UMC Cemetery beside her husband. Leona was born in Blackshear but had made Keysville her home for forty years and was a member of Mt. Moriah UMC. Her favorite pastime was putting puzzles together, as well as watching and collecting movies. Leona loved her family and was a great friend. She will be missed greatly. Leona is preceded in death by her parents, Leon E. and Gladys Johnson Lloyd, and her step-son, Julian Allen Kight. Her survivors include her children, Lloyd "Pat" Kight, Brandon MS, Mike D. (Lynn) Kight, Hephzibah GA, Hal (Ginny) Kight, Julian "Jake" Kight, and Gladys "Sue" (Aubrey) Wheeler; her step-children, Terri Allen, Chattanoogo TN, and Libby Kight, Delta City MS; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her "special adopted-daughter" Darlene; and many friends. Pallbearers will be James Arrington, Freddie Harden, Chad Stewart, Jeff King, Jason Saxon and J.R. Lamberth. James Funeral Home - Wrens, GA
