Grace Aycock (LINCOLNTON, GA.)

LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Grace Aycock, 83 of Chamberlain Ferry Rd. went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at her residence. There will be a funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Grace at 2 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Heard and Rev. Thomas Moon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Buddy Myers, Gerald Lawson, Stanley Parton, Earnest Moon, Hawes Reed and Bennie Crook. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lee McClendon, Steven Dawkins, Ken Koone, Ray Parton, Furman Parton, Olin Reed, Talmadge Reed, Walter Palmer, Perry Davis, Roby Prescott and Thomas Reed. Mrs. Aycock was the daughter of the late Jeff Holcomb and the late Fannie Barrett Holcomb. She was a loving mother and grandmother , a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. Survivors include four sons, Leon Aycock and wife, Linda of Tignall, Ga., Ronny Aycock and wife, Mary of McCormick, S.C., Danny Aycock, Doug Aycock and Pam, of Lincolnton; sister, Ruby Crook and husband, Calvin of Abbeville, S.C.; brother, Julian Holcomb and wife, Emma Dean of Union Point, Ga., six grandchildren, Rob Aycock, Tonya Callaway, Michele Butler, Jill Clark, Christi Aycock and Matthew Aycock; ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Aycock was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William J. Aycock.
