SPARTA, Ga. - Mr. Edward T. Chatman, Jr., 56, of 5029 Pumping Station Road, Sparta, Georgia died February 16, 2010 at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, Ga. He leaves to cherish his memories a mother, Rutha Mae Chatman of Sparta, Ga., three children Akia (LeCovian, Sr.) Thomas, Montegas Chatman, and Danreco Harris, all of Milledgeville, Ga. Four brothers Calvin Chatman of Fayetteville, Ga., Earnest Chatman of Sparta, Ga., Timmothy (Shonda) Chatman of Milledgeville, Ga. and Anthony Chatman of Waynesboro, Ga. Six sisters Louise Tucker, Annie Ruth Chatman, Stephanie Chatman and Mattie Mae West all of Sparta, Cynthia Harris and Barbara (Gail Anthony) Johnson both of Milledgeville, Ga. Two grandchildren LeCovian Thomas, Jr., and Malachi Thomas, both of Milledgeville. Services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Hunts Chapel AME Church with burial in church cemetery. Rev. Johnny Sanders, Pastor, Officiating.
