GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest Tuesday, February 9th, 2010, Mrs. Susie Mae Nix Green, 78, of Graniteville, SC, daughter of the late Lee and Estell Lance Davis. Born in Lumpkin County, GA, she had been a resident of Atlanta and Augusta, GA, prior to coming to Aiken County, SC, in 1975. She retired from Kroger where she was a Deli Clerk. Susie was a member of Christian Heritage Church, Graniteville, SC. As part of her ministry, she enjoyed visiting Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center, where she would deliver inspiration and gifts. Family members include her children, Kenneth Nix, Graniteville, SC, Tony Nix, Graniteville, SC, Tom Nix, (Diane) Wagener, SC and the late Ricky Nix; siblings, Dewey Edwards and Opal Weaver, both of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Nix, Michael Nix, Jodie Lyle, Tommy Nix and Caleb Nix and great-grandchildren, Sarah Nix, Monica Nix, Savana Nix, Alexis Nix Courtney Lyles, Jake Lyles. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, February 11th, 2010, at 6 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Stephen Phillips officiating. Interment will take place Friday, February 12th, 2010, at 1 o'clock in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park, GA. If so desired the family has asked that memorials in memory of Susie be made to a College Fund that will be established for her grandson, Caleb. The family will greet friends Thursday, February 11th, 2010, from 5 o'clock until the time of service and following the service until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC.
