TRENTON , S.C. -Mr. Marshall Meriwether , Sr., 83 of Courtney Road, entered into rest February 2, 2010 . Funeral services will be held 2p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Poplar Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnell Meriwether and Edward Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Meriwether, a native of Edgefield County was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church where he served on the deacons ministry, senior choir ministry and the male chorus. Survivors include his wife, Rosalee Boyd Meriwether; three daughters, Dianna Negron, Doris Meriwether and Connie Meriwether; six sons, Sylvester Meriwether (Diane), William Meriwether (Janet), Marshall Meriwether (Tauliba), Alex Meriwether (Lisa), Lance Meriwether (Kim) and Jeffrey Meriwether; daughter-in-law, Lizzie Meriwether; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Meriwether and Katie Thurmond; brother-in-law, Henry Boyd; 44 grand children , 73 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
