AUGUSTA, Ga. - Went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 3, 2010, Mr. Bobby J. Reeves, 73, husband of Melvis Broadwater Reeves. Bobby was a member of St. James United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Beckum Bible Class and United Methodist Men's Club and served in many capacities of the church. He was also a member of the Greene Meadows Golf Club and Past Exulted Ruler of the Elks Lodge # 205 BPOE. Bobby was a Christian Gentleman who loved his family, church, friends and loved to play golf. Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter: Kellie Reeves Collins (Carlton) of Blairsville, GA, sons: Jerry Reeves (Connie) of Cumming, GA, Brad Reeves (Lisa) of North Augusta, SC, and younger brother-in-law: Michael Broadwater who Bobby considered a son in his heart, sister: Merle Culbreth of Augusta, GA, grandchildren: Chris Reeves, Ashley Collins, Taylor Reeves, Chase Collins, Trey Snyder, Kelsey Reeves and Beau Reeves. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Birchall and Rev. Dean Kring officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chris Reeves, Chase Collins, Beau Reeves, Trey Snyder, Michael Broadwater and Carlton Collins. Honorary Pallbearers will be the United Methodist Men's Club and golf buddies: Walt Harwood, Charlie Lass and Bobby Sims. Memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 439 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
