Frank N. James (EVANS, Ga.)

EVANS, Ga. - Frank N. James, age 72, of Evans, Ga., died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida. He was born January 10, 1937 in Thomson, Ga. to the late Tommie Clyde Sturgis Hart and Thomas H. James. He was raised by his late uncle and aunt, Roy and Elizabeth Pettis of Thomson, Ga. On January 09, 1957, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Ellois Brinson. Frank attended McDuffie County Schools and graduated from McDuffie County Training School in 1953. Following graduation, Frank enlisted in the Navy and served from 1954 to 1964. He attained the rank of Signalman First Class. After his discharge, he returned to school and received his BA in business management from the New York Institute of Technology. He went on to enjoy a rewarding career, retiring in October 1998 as Vice President of Associated Brands of Kelly Springfield Tires, a division of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. An avid golfer, Frank was a member of Master City Golf Association. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Ellois; sons, Stanley of San Francisco, Ca.; Zale of Santa Ana, Ca.; and Jean-Paul "JP" of Manhattan, NY; daughter, Valerie Sanders (Howard) of Chino, Ca.; four grandchildren, Branden and Stephanie Sanders of Chino, Ca., Andre James and Sayil James of Orange County, Ca.; brothers, Clarence Hart of Thomson, Ga., Eugene Hart of Charlotte, NC and Leonard Hart (Cathy) of Hephzibah, Ga.; sister in laws, Agnes Brinson of East Point, Ga. and Eleanor Council of Paterson, NJ. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents and aunt and uncle, he was preceded in death by three brothers Clifford Hart, Jr., Eddie Hart and Ralph Hart.
