Leonard F. Sauls   (GRANITEVILLE, S.C.)

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, Mr. Leonard F. Sauls, age 87 of Graniteville, S. C., husband of the late Shirley Burckhalter Sauls and son of the late Quillie S. Sauls and the late Mattie Harrison Sauls. He is survived by a daughter; Nancy (Sam) Wallace of Aiken; four grandchildren, Randy (Cindy) Britt, Marty (Shannon) Britt, Patti (Pat) McDowell and Jennifer (Joshua) Wallace; six great grandchildren, Daniel Britt, Marty Britt, Matt Britt, Brett Holley, Patrick McDowell and Chris McDowell. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Lynn Britt and a grandson, David Glenn Britt. He was born in Bath, S. C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S. C. He was a retired maintenance mechanic with Graniteville Company. He was a US Navy Veteran, having served his country during World War 11. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Graniteville, S. C. Mr. Sauls was a very loving father and grandfather with a warm smile, which yielded him many friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends; however, life for Mr. Sauls has not ended, but only begun in a better land. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Douglas Puckett officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Graniteville with Masonic rites accorded. Members of Masonic Star Lodge #99 will serve as pallbearers.
