Cleo Brightharp-Crawford (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Friday, July 3, 2009 at Medical College of Georgia, Mrs. Cleo Brightharp-Crawford of Hall Street. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Harmony Baptist Church, 928 Hopkins Street with Dr. Woodrow Miller, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday. Mrs. Crawford attended C.T. Walker Elementary School and was a graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School. She moved to New York, where she attended the Equal Opportunity Center and excelled in telecommunication, receiving a degree in teletype. Mrs. Crawford was employed for 35 years with RCA Communications where she retired in 2002. She later returned home to Augusta. Survivors are one son, Tony Crawford, Brooklyn, NY; one daughter, Deborah Crawford, Augusta; four sisters, Rena Watkins, Augusta, Charline Jones, Rev. Joan Brightharp Dargan and Doris Brightharp, all of New York; and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may call the residence or W. H.
