Sarah G. Clary (WARRENTON, Ga.)

WARRENTON, Ga. - Mrs. Sarah Guillebeau Clary, age 96, wife of the late Mr. James F. Clary died Wednesday June 24, 2009 at the Warrenton Health & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Warrenton with Rev. Susanna Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sallie Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Clary, a native of Lincoln County, GA was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Nora Elam Guillebeau. She had been a Warren County resident for 75 years. Mrs. Clary graduated from Georgia College & State University (Then Georgia State College for Women) with a major in English and minors in Latin and French. She later received certification in library science from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Clary retired as a teacher/Librarian at the Warren County High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and served as teacher of the Sarah Clary Sunday School Class for 57 years. Survivors include her daughter, Nora Ann (Richard) Bruce, Amelia Island, FL, one grandson, David A. (Julie) Bruce, one great granddaughter, Jennie Bruce and one step great granddaughter Gracie Rowell all of Jacksonville, FL. Her husband, James Fletcher Clary, a son, James Fletcher Clary, Jr. and eight brothers and sisters preceded Mrs. Clary in death. Members of the Sarah Clary Sunday School Class will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the First United Methodist Church or to the Sarah Clary Sunday School Class, 303 E. Main Street Warrenton, GA 30828.
