Edna Dunaway Bell (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Edna Dunaway Bell, 85, beloved wife of 66 years, to Jack Emory Bell, M.D., entered into rest on Monday, June 15, 2009 at her residence. Graveside services and interment will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Westover Memorial Park with her daughter, Nancy B. Veres and Rev. Alan Faulkner officiating. Mrs. Bell was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, for over 60 years and taught Sunday School there, for many years. She was active in the Richmond County Medical Society Auxiliary and also in the PTA, as long as her children were in school. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Mary Etta Johnson Dunaway; her brother, Robert Dunaway; and her sister, Rubye Smith. In addition, to her loving husband, Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughters, Linda Bell Edmonds, of Evans, Jean Bell Etheridge and her husband Ken, of Augusta, Nancy Bell Veres, of Weaverville, NC, and Susan Bell Curwen, of Augusta; her grandchildren, Natalie Veres, Audrey-Lynn Veres, Jesse Veres, Anna Veres, Moriah Veres, Casey Bradford, Kelly Etheridge, Paul Edmonds, and Lenora Curwen; her eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
