Haggie Martin-Holiday (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at her residence, Mrs. Haggie Martin-Holiday of Vernon Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from Trinity Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 2930 Glenn Hills Drive with Reverend Dr. Donald Ralph Jordan officiating and Reverend John A. Lockhart, Eulogist. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Holiday was a native of Millhaven, Georgia, she later moved to Augusta. She was employed at University Hospital Health Care System for thirty-seven years. Mrs. Holiday was educated in the Richmond County School System, graduating from T. W. Josey High School. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Handy (Willie) Green; two sons, Freddie Martin and Tony (Fonda) Martin, both of Augusta; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Woodrow Wilson (Brenda) Brown, Augusta; two sisters, Katie (Eugene) Morris, Augusta and Etheal B.
