George A. Crane (HADLEY, Pa.)

HADLEY, Pa. - Mr. George A. Crane, 51, of Hadley, PA, formerly of Augusta, GA, passed away at 7:48 AM, Saturday, May 16th, 2009 following a brief illness at UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville, PA. George was born in Augusta, GA on July 8, 1957, the son of Andrew George Roscoe and Margie (Pricket) Crane. He is survived by: his parents, of Augusta, GA; his wife, Kathie (Young) Crane of Hadley PA, two step sons: Nathaniel E. Wilson and his fiance Cindi Fosburg of Centerville, PA; and Eric J. Wilson of Hadley, PA; a brother: Randy Crane and his wife Laurie Crane of Evans, Ga; two nephews: Jeremy Crane of Martinez , Ga; and Evan Crane of Evans, GA; and a close family friend whom he helped raise, Daniel R. Sherred of Fredonia, PA. George was a graduate of George P. Butler High School and Augusta Area Technical College. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 126 and earned Eagle Scout and Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow. He was a life long mason and a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers. He practiced his trade in Georgia, and Western PA.. Early in life he was a member of Fleming Baptist Church of Augusta Ga. He is currently a member of Bethel Life Worship Center, Greenville, where he was actively involved with Angel Food Ministries.
