Annie Lou Adams (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, May 11, 2009 at University Hospital, Mother Annie Lou 'Sis' Evans Adams of Wheeler Road. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Clair Baptist Church, 187 William Tinley Rd., Keysville, GA with Reverend Carl Simmons, presiding and Reverend Tommy L. Walker, Jr., eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mother Adams was born on January 27, 1925 to the late Olden Evans, Sr. and Mary Evans Atwell in Burke County. At an early age she was baptized at the St. Clair Baptist Church by the late Rev. A. L. D'Antignac. She was 'Mother of the Church' and a member of the Missionary. She was a caretaker and homemaker. She always welcomed everyone with open arms. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul L. Adams, Sr.; her children, Eli Jordan, McArthur Adams, Willie T. Adams, Sr., Floydie Mae Smith, James Edward Adams, Sr. and Ernest Lavert Jordan. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughter, Rosemary Adams Carter, Hephzibah, GA; sons, Paul L. Adams, Jr., Detroit, MI, Joseph (Deloris) Adams, John L. Adams and Timothy L. Adams all of Augusta, GA; grandsons raised by her, Timothy L. Adams, Jr., Germany and Joshua E. Adams, Augusta, GA; step sister, Fannie Walker, Gough, GA; daughters-in-law, Joan P. Adams, Atlanta, GA, Eunice W. Jordan, Augusta, GA and Emma W. Adams, Hephzibah, GA; son-in-law, Ronnie L. Carter, Sr., Hephzibah, GA; sister-in-law, Alice M. (Eddie) Kollock, Vineland, NJ; thirty-four grand children; fifty great grand children, nine great great grand children; devoted friends, Frances Evans and Beatrice England, both of Augusta, GA; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
