AUGUSTA, Ga. - 'J.T.' James Talmadge Sanders, 45, of Harding Rd., entered into rest Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Trinity Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2009, at 3:00 PM, from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors with the Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Sanders owned and ran Honeybee Stump and Tree. He worked as a paint and body mechanic. He was a member of Hephzibah Southern Methodist Church, the Hephzibah Agricultural Club, and the Hen Peck Club. He had a passion for motorsports. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy David Sanders (1972). He is survived by his son, James Talmadge Sanders, II; daughter, Randi Paige Sanders, both of Augusta; his mother, Martha Sconyers Sanders and stepfather Dale Steidel, of Hephzibah; his brothers and sisters in law, Carl and Frances Sanders, of Evans; and niece, Renee, Robert and Judy Sanders, of Martinez, and niece, Jennifer, Dale and Yvette Sanders of Hephzibah; his sister, Elaine Faye Peppers of Hephzibah; his uncle, Larry, and aunt, Michelle Sconyers; his aunt, Clara, and uncle, Jim Nickles, both of Augusta; and aunt, Ollie Burt Sconyers of Hephzibah; and aunt, Sara Taylor of Martinez. Pallbearers will be nephews, Bobby Sanders, Jason Sanders, Zachary Wilkerson, Brandon Blanchard, Billy Sanders, Dakota Sanders, and friends, Jarrod Owens, and Stuart McCall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, February 22, from 5 to 7 PM. His family would like to offer special thanks to friends and loved ones who stood by him during his illness.
