Edward 'Hambone' Hamilton (LANGLEY, S.C.)

LANGLEY, S.C. - Entered into rest on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, Mr. Edward 'Hambone' Hamilton, 77, of 59 O'Banion Court, Langley, SC. Surviving is a special lady friend, Mary Regan, Burnettown; four children, Olivia Holland (Wayne) and Rollie E. Hamilton (Beverly), all of Warrenville, SC, Bill Hamilton (Cindy), Gloverville, SC and Heyward Hamilton (Robin), Windsor, SC; a sister, Myrtle Lamb, North Augusta, SC; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty seven great grandchildren. Mr. Hamilton was the son of the late Henry Hamilton and Corrie Key Hamilton Bethune. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Civil service at Fort Gordon with 22 years of service, he attended Langley Church of God and he loved playing the guitar. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at Langley Church of God with Revs. Benny Burton and Jim Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Sterling, Lloyd "Red" Goodwin, James Wise, Larry Newman, Ervin Hodges, and Danny Porter.
