JACKSON, S.C. - Mr. Fred B. 'Hunkie' Chavous, 65, of Turner Road, entered into rest December 15, 2008 at University Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Chavous, a native of Aiken County, was a 1963 graduate of Martha Schofield High School. He was a member of Zion Fair Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Chavous McFadden (Wesley), Marshville, N.C., Mirranda Chavous (Lance), Jackson, S.C., and Tiffany Chavous, Beech Island, S.C.; a son, Brandon Ingram, Aiken, S.C.; four brothers, Cecil Chavous (Gloria), Aiken, S.C., John H. Chavous (Thelma), Jackson, S.C., Harold Chavous, Beech Island, S.C., and Belton Dicks (Nora), Jamaica, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Tyler McFadden, Taylor McFadden, Kyle Chavous and Kaylan Hieke; aunt, Elizabeth Spells, Philadelphia, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Geneva Chavous, North Augusta, S.C., and Delores Stevens, Jackson, S.C.; a host of other relatives and friends.
