Norma J. Janca (GROVETOWN, Ga.)

GROVETOWN, Ga. - To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord, Mrs. Norma Jean Janca, 74, wife of the late Louis Emil Janca, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Ga. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Powell Baptist Church with the Reverend Randall Whitaker officiating. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park, Augusta, Ga. Mrs. Janca was born in Kenton, Ohio and resided in Grovetown. She was a member of Powell Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Janca was Mom to sons, Donnie (Dianna) Janca, MS, Kenny (Dianne) Janca, Grovetown and daughter, Baronda (Frank, Jr.) Leogrande of Harlem. She was preceded in death by son, Stephen Ray Janca and parents, Helen Gossard (Baum) and Charles W. Myers. She was Grandma to eleven grandchildren, Toni Lee (Robbie) Kissiah, Jessica Fisher, Chris (Katie) Thigpen, Ashley Janca, Summer Janca, Carolyn Jackson, Crystal Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Ashton Leogrande, Samantha Legrande and Jack Leogrande. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris Thigpen, David Daughtry II, Sanford Campbell III, Eric Ellis, Frank Leogrande, Sr., and Frank Leogrande, Jr. If so desired, memorials may be made to Powell Baptist Church, 1577 Old Appling Harlem Hwy, Harlem, GA 30814.
