Charles David Buck (GLENDALE, Ariz.)

GLENDALE, Ariz. - He has gone before us but he will never be forgotten as he reaches out to touch the face of God. Charles David Buck, 61, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away after a short illness on August 18, 2008. David was born October 30, 1946, to James C. Buck and Velma Vonelle Spires and graduated from Martinez High School and Augusta College. He served as a B-52 pilot in Vietnam for the USAF and after retirement flew as a commercial airline pilot. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carol; one daughter and son-in-law, Amanda (Dan Walsh); three step-daughters; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one aunt; and many cousins. Interment was at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona with the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard officiating. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba Fund c/o Amanda Walsh, 4635 Glory Maple Trace, Powder Springs, GA 30127.
