Burma H. Creel (FAIRBURN, Ga.)

FAIRBURN, Ga. - Mrs. Burma H. Creel of Fairburn passed away September 6, 2008. She was a registered nurse who trained at Grady Hospital and retired as a nurse from Fulton County Public Health. She was very active with her church as treasurer and secretary for many years and as a member of the church's WMU. She was also very active with the Palmetto Senior Center and enjoyed delivering meals on wheels. Mrs. Creel was preceded in death by her husband, John Creel; son, Danny Creel, and is survived by her daughter, Bridget Clark and her husband Denny of Johnston, SC; son, Ernie Creel, of Fairburn; grandchildren, Burma (Mandy) Clark Lowe and her husband Heyl; Penny Creel; Carrie Clark; Katie Creel McPhail; Emily Creel; Rachel Creel; Rebecca Creel and great grandchild, Reece Lowe. Funeral services will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Friendship Baptist Church with remains placed in-state at 10 o'clock. Rev. Reid Buckelew and Rev. Dusty Wammack officiating. Interment will follow at King Family Cemetery in College Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church for the music ministry or children's ministry, 6090 Cochran Mill Rd. Palmetto, GA 30268.
