Obert C. Skedsvold (ALEXANDER, N.D.)

ALEXANDER, N.D. - Obert C. Skedsvold, 93, formerly of Alexander, N.D, died peacefully on July 12, 2008 in Bismarck, N.D. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck, with Rev. Paul Becker as celebrant. Burial will be in Obert's hometown of Alexander, N.D. about 3 p.m. that afternoon. This kind and humble man will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him including his six children: Daniel, Augusta, Ga., Marylyn (Earl) Pierce, Dickinson, N.D., Anita (Tom) Decker, Bismarck, Marita (Kevin) Hauck, Billings, Mont., Stephen (Susan) Moorhead, Minn., and Melanie Skedsvold (Craig Davis), Tempe, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; his sister, Adeline Ley, Bismarck; his brother, Arne (Joyce) Skedsvold, Alexander, N.D.; and one sister-in-law, Susan Skedsvold, Williston, N.D. Obert was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores, in 1996; his parents; three brothers, Carl, Gunder, and Alfred; and one brother-in-law, Albert Ley.
