Charles M. Sullivan (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Charles M. "Jimmie" Sullivan age 79, husband of the late Barbara Widener Sullivan died at Doctors Hospital on Saturday, May 3, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in Warren Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Doss and Rev. Brett Legg officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park. Survivors include: one son, Mark Sullivan and his wife Robin of Augusta, and one daughter, Gail Hawkins and her husband Gene of Augusta. Grandchildren, Wes, Marshall and Callie Sullivan of Augusta, and Susan Hawkins Brown and her husband Steve of LaGrange, KY, one great-granddaughter, Reagan Brown of LaGrange, KY. and a dear friend Barbara Limehouse. Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Sullivan, and a grandson, Christopher Hawkins. Mr. Sullivan was born July 7, 1928 in Chesterfield County, SC, he was the son of the late William Augustus Sullivan and Mary Frances Fincher Sullivan. Jimmie was the retired owner of Sullivan Marine and enjoyed hunting and raising cows. He was a faithful member of Warren Baptist Church where he served over the years as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and greeter. He was a member of the Muns-Luke Sunday school class. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, May 5, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Old Sanctuary Renovation Fund at Warren Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Rd.
