NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Robert A Law, 79, husband of Verna Weir Law of North Augusta, entered into rest Thursday, April 3, 2008 at University Hospital. Mr. Law was a native of Kiowa, Kansas but had made his home in North Augusta for 54 years. He retired from the CSX Railroad as a Conductor on the mainline. Bob was a dedicated worker, wood-crafter, and friend to all. He was happiest when giving away one of his woodworking creations that had been artistically painted by Verna. His greatest pleasures were his family and his dogs Sweet Pea, Baby and Lady Bug who he rode around the house on the seat of his walker. Mr. Law was preceded in death by his son Dale A Law (Judy) of Evans. Survivors include his wife of 57 years Verna Weir Law, sons: Dana Law of North Augusta and Troy Law (Vicki) of Martinez, grandchildren: Ernest Law (Julie) of Snellville, Esther Garcia-Law (Antonio) of Madrid, Spain, Erin Toomey (Michael) of Evans, Michael Owens of Evans and Angela Hooks (Kyle) of O'Fallon, MO and five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law: Dorothy Barrow of Augusta, Niece, Pat Barrow, Augusta and Nephew, Wayne Barrow (Sheri) Appling, Sisters Edith Adams of Kansas, Mary Kay of Oklahoma and Eva Burkett of Oklahoma. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 2:00 until 4:00. A memorial service will be held immediately after the visitation in the Chapel.
