Lois B. Cozart (EVANS, Ga.)

EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Lake Crossing Health Center, Mrs. Lois B. Cozart, 76, wife of Jimmie E. Cozart, Sr. Mrs. Cozart was a native of Sparta and has resided in the Augusta area most of her life. She was a 1951 graduate of Evans High School and an administrative assistant for 20 years with Brandon Wylde. Mrs. Cozart was past President of the Legion of Honor Ladies Association, member of the Augusta Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary for 35 years, the WWII European Displaced Persons Association and the Alee Shrine Legion of honor. She was a charter member of Evans Baptist Church. Mrs. Cozart was a devoted and loving military wife and mother. Family members in addition to her husband include her daughters: Cindy Cozart Charron and husband Stephen of Warwick, RI, Mona Cozart Charron and husband Richard of West Warwick, RI; son: Joseph Edward Cozart of Martinez; grandchildren: Jason Charron, Julia Harnois, Skip Cozart, Ronald Gracey IV, Ian Gracey, Kristin Cozart; great-grandchild: Hayden Cozart; sisters: Carrie B. Manders and husband Raymond of Evans and Louise B. Smith and husband Melvin of Andalusia, AL. Mrs. Cozart was preceded in death by her parents: Isadore Brookins and Julia Veal Brookins and brother: Pete Brookins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. Tony Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
