BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Mrs. Euvonia Gay Jackson, 65, entered into rest on Friday, January 25, 2008 at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Mich. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Gilbert Lambuth Chapel, Paine College, with Elder Darrell Butler officiating. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Park. Mrs. Jackson will lie in state at the chapel from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Mrs. Jackson, a longtime residence of Augusta and Brooklyn, N.Y., was employed nineteen years with the Richmond County Board of Education and twenty years with the City of New York Department of Social Services. Survivors are two daughters, Dierdra (Gregory) Autry, White Lake, Mich., Sonja (Ricky) Russ, Douglasville, Ga.; one son, Darrell (Saberina) Butler, Hephzibah; five brothers, Morris Gay, Edward (Geneva) Gay, Charles Gay, Walter Gay, George (Earline) Gay; two sisters, Ora Lee (Roscoe) Robinson, Annie Thelma Gay; two loving aunts, Annie L. Freeman, Mattie Mincey; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Williams Funeral Home, 2945 Old Tobacco Road, Hephzibah, Ga.
