Coleman Wessinger (NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.)

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Entered into rest on Tuesday, January 15, 2008, Mrs. Dealver Coleman Wessinger, 85, formerly of Burnettown, S.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Wessinger; and a grandson, John H. Jacobson, Jr. Surviving are eight children, Brenda M. Fulmer (Carl), Trenton, S.C., John R. McDaniel, Oriville, Calif., Teresa M. Shaw (Glenn), Graniteville, S.C., Susan W. Stiles, Gloverville, S.C., Marie "Joy" Black (Ray), Langley, S.C., Patricia W. Sikes, North Augusta, S.C., Pamela W. Sheppard, Beech Island, S.C. and Earl Q. Wessinger, Jr. (Pam), Florence, S.C.; two brothers, James Gardner, Vinton, Iowa and Earl Gardner, Ft. Dodge, Iowa; two sisters, Mildred C. Adams, Clearwater, S.C. and Jeanne Kirkland, North Augusta, S.C.; seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great- grandchildren. Mrs. Wessinger was born in Kibee, Ga. to the late Columbus Sterling Coleman and Marie Elliott Coleman Shealy. She was a member of Sweetwater Church of God and their Senior Adult Sunday School Class and a member of the Daughter's of the Confederacy. Funeral services will be on Friday at 2 o'clock p.m. at Sweetwater Church of God with Bishop Phillip Napier and Rev. Brad Jay officiating. Mrs. Wessinger will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Danny C. McDaniel, Josef B. Jacobson, Coley O. Mitchell, Devin B. Sheppard, Earl Q. Wessinger, III and Christopher N. Wessinger. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sweetwater Church of God, 1330 Edgefield Road, North Augusta, S.C. 29860.
