W.L. Turner (DEARING, Ga.)

DEARING, Ga. - Mr. W.L. Turner, 82, beloved husband of Mrs. Nancy Turner, died Sunday, December 30 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 3 in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Renew officiating. Burial will be in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mr. Turner was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in Dearing many years. He was a retired Deputy Sheriff with McDuffie County. He was a W.W.II. Veteran and a member of Dearing Full Gospel Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy Turner, Dearing; his two daughters, Catherine Alberson, Lexington S.C., Brenda Tucker, Lake Sinclair, Ga.; a step-son, Ray Smith, Cope, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. Betty Martin, Conyers, Ga.; 7 grandchildren and several great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be McDuffie County Sheriff Deputy's. Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
