NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Johnnie Lee Mathis, of Carriee Lane, entered into rest Saturday, December 8, 2007, beloved husband of Mrs. Martha Mathis. Mr. Mathis was a native of Saluda, S.C., but he made North Augusta his home. He was a member of New & Living Way Apostolic Church, where Bishop William R. Cue founded. Other survivors include two sisters, Carolyn Sullivan, Aiken, Martha (Henry) Blanchard, Saluda, S.C.; mother-in-law, Florence G. Miles of North Augusta; father-in- law, Tommy Miles of North Augusta; brothers-in-law, Willie (Rosa) Jennings of Augusta, Ronald (Erika) Lovett and Zachary R. Lovett of North Augusta, Troy Brown, Edgefield, S.C.; uncles, James Mason, David Johnson, Saluda, S.C., Dea. Odell (Mildred) Glover, Dea. Jimmy (Annette) Glover, Albert Glover, Trenton, S.C., Dea. Jimmy (Gloria) Glover, North Augusta, and Curtis (Sally) Hill, Columbia, S.C.; aunts, Bessie Johnson, Saluda, S.C., Evan. Annie L. Jefferson, Beatrice Glover, Mary (Heyward) Bibbs, Trenton, S.C., Maryann (Marvin) Stinger, Laplace, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
